A Brazilian-made Embraer 190 plane operated by Aero Republica skidded off the wet runway of Simon Bolivar airport in Santa Marta, Colombia and crashed into the Caribbean Sea, injuring at least seven of the 54 people onboard the same day that a Brazilian jet crashed into a gas station in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
The Brazilian-made Embraer 190 plane operated by Aero Republica was carrying 59 people from Cali when it skidded along the wet tarmac and slid halfway into the water while attempting to land at Simon Bolivar Airport.
